WM1300 - US Marine Corps Command Plaque, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Personalized, Engraved Stained Mahogany
This Command Shield plaque for the Black Horse Cavalry Regiment is carved in engraved relief from African Mahogany. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained one or more times to get the specified color, which can range from light to very dark, depending upon which of the 24 Minwax color stains is used. The artwork is artist-painted with 1-Shot sign enamels, and the inscriptions are engraved on brass plates. The plaque is then clear-coated twice with Matthews clear polyurethane acrylic .
