Medium Size Plaques (3 ft to 5 ft in diameter)
We make medium size wall plaques 3 to 5 ft in diameter. These are lightweight, typically weighing 30 to 80 pounds, so they are easy to install on walls without installing structural supports behind the wall. Although most of these signs are made from High Density Urethane (HDU), weighing 20 lb/ft3, slightly lighter than Cedar wood. The Mahogany wood signs the same size , with a density of about 30 to 40 lbs/ft3, typically weigh 50 to 150 lbs.
This HDU plaques are painted by our artists with 1-Shot and Matthews sign enamels, or they can be plated with bronze, brass or aluminum metals, and then clear-coated twice with clear polyurethane acrylic . They can also be gilded with 24K gold leaf or pure silver leaf and then clear-coated. The Mahogany, oak, maple, Cedar and Redwood plaques can be stained in one or two Min-Wax stains are painted similar to the HDU plaques, They cannot be metal-plated.
