Award Board for the US Navy's ARCO ARDM-5-class Medium Auxiliary Floating Drydock
This Photo Award Board for the ARCO ARDM-5-class Medium Auxiliary Floating Drydock is carved from Redwood. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The awardees have photos inserted into slide-in wood picture frames with glass covers, which can easily be changed-out. Three insignia and the ship's crest are carved in 3-D bas-relief and painted using long-lasting sign enamels. This plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against the marine environment.
