This is a carved Command Board for USMC Recruiting Station, Albany, New York. This plaque is raised multi-level relief carving of its seal, made from High-Density-Urethane (HDU), a synthetic wood material used extensively by the sign industry for carved signs. The globe-and-anchor symbols are carved in 3-D bas-relief. . This plaque is artist-painted with long-lasting sign enamels, and the plaque is clear-coated twice. There is an engraved center brass plaque in the bottom center, and brass holders for changeable engraved name plates.
