Chain-of-Command photo board for the USS Tripoli Supply Department
This large Chain-of-Command photo board for the USS Tripoli Supply Department is carved from High-Density-Urethane (HDU). After carving, it is lightly sandblasted and painted with an airbrush to appear like wood grain. The officers have photos inserted into slide-in wood picture frames with clear acrylic covers, which can easily be changed-out. The officer names/ranks and positions are printed on the photos. The title at the top and other text is carved in raised relief. The crests, symbols and logos at the top and bottom of the board are carved in raised relief and artist-brush painted using long-lasting sign enamels. This plaque is clear-coated twice, and can be place outside or inside. Plaques of this type are all custom designed and made with sizes ranging from 48 inches to 120 inches wide, depending on the number and sizes of photos, nameplates, and crests.
