This Chain-of-Command Photo Board for the US Navy Operational Support Center is carved from California Redwood. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The officers have photos inserted into slide-in wood picture frames with acrylic covers, which can easily be changed. The job positions are engraved on brass plates under each photo frame. The unit's crest is carved in 2.5-D, and artist-brush painted using long-lasting sign enamels. This plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against the marine environment.
