Commanding Officer's Plaque for TACRON 12
This Commanding Officer's plaque for TACRON 12 (VTC-12), US Navy, is carved from Western Red Cedar. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get a very dark color. The five Naval badges are carved in 3-D bas-relief from High-Density-Urethane (HDU), painted metallic brass, and mounted on the plaque. The TACRON-12 crest, featuring an eagle and a lightening bolt, crest is carved in 3-D and painted with an artist-brush using long-lasting sign enamels. This plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against the marine environment. This plaque is also shown in the US Navy plaque photo gallery.
