This is a carved Cedar Elizabeth F Friedman Civilian Intelligence Officer Award board, made for the United States Coast Guard Intelligence Center. The USCG seal and Communications Center crest are carved in 3-D bas-relief from Western Red Cedar wood, and mounted at the top of the board. The five recipients during the current year have their photos installed in the photo holder frames, which can be easily changed out. The names of previous year award recipients are engraved on the black plates, which are placed in slide in nameplate holders and can also be easily changed each year. The wood ward board is clear-coated twice. This and similar award boards can be ordered in any size from 24 inches to 72 inches wide.
