Plaque Honoring the Previous Commanding Officers of a Seabees Dive Unit
This plaque honoring the previous Commanding Officers of a Seabees dive unit is carved from African Mahogany. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The names of the previous commanding officers are engraved on brass plates . The US Navy star/anchor symbol, the Seabees crest and dive symbol are carved from High-Density-Urethane (HDU) and mounted on the top of the plaque. They , along with the text , are painted with long-lasting sign enamels. This plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against the marine environment.
