This recognition and memorial plaque honoring departed Trustees of the Battleship New Jersey Museum is carved from California Redwood. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The names of the Trustees are engraved on brass plates permanently affixed to the plaque. The battleship emblem is carved in 3-D relief from High-Density-Urethane (HDU) and mounted on the plaque. The artwork is painted with long-lasting sign enamels. This plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against the marine environment. This plaque is also shown in the US Navy gallery.
