ZP-5005- Memorial Plaque Honoring John Willis, Awarded the Medal of Honor in WW II, Mahogany Plaque with Giclee Photos and Engraved Brass Plates
This is a memorial wall plaque honoring John Harlan Willis 1921-1945. Mr. Willis was a Pharmacist Mate First Class, a Naval Hospital Corpsman, who was killed in action during World War II while serving with a Marine Corps rifle company. He was posthumously awarded the nation's highest military decoration for valor, the Medal of Honor, for heroic actions "above and beyond the call of duty" on February 28, 1945, during the Battle of Iwo Jima.
This plaque is representative of the memorial and commemorative plaques we make for family members and dignitaries.
